GBC 1984

1984…The Onset of Tradition…
With 1984 came the friendly tradition of “one-upsmanship” in Conference hosting. UCLA, with assistance from the warm California sun, provided a splendid two-day event. “The Bottom Line of Leadership” featured presentations and discussions on the many facets of personal and organizational leadership. Peter Rogers, Executive Vice President of Nabisco Brands Inc., was most provocative as keynote speaker.

UCLA hosted a most memorable evening itinerary. Imagine walking down the famed “Main Street” set of 20th Century Fox Studios enroute to cocktails at the commissary and a special preview of “Romancing the Stone” in the Executive Theater. And what could be better than a day of workshop sessions and barbecue around the pool at the Sunset Recreation Center? Perhaps, you might say, a Sunday trip to Disneyland? Hats off (or should I say visors) to Kris Donaldson, Conference Coordinator.
